"The Breakfast Club" is a coming-of-age film about five high school students who spend a Saturday in detention together and discover they have more in common than they thought. Bergdorf Goodman, a name synonymous with luxury retail, has a rich history dating back to 1899. It began as a tailoring business founded by Herman Bergdorf, and evolved into the iconic department store it is today through the vision and partnership with Edwin Goodman. Goodman eventually bought out Bergdorf, and the store moved to its current location on Fifth Avenue in 1928.
